Acrylic dries darker and gouache shifts as it goes matte. Every swatch shows the wet color on your palette next to the dry color on your canvas.
When a color is out of reach, the app names the one pigment that would get you there and shows how much of the color wheel your set already covers.
Projects keep every mix side by side as a color board. Log each batch and your tubes empty along with it. Share the palette as a single picture.

🎨 We are a small crew of painters and tinkerers who got tired of ruining a good tube chasing one elusive green. Slab Knife Hue grew out of our own messy palettes.

Slab Knife Hue does not collect, store or share any data. Everything, from color picking to recipe calculation, happens locally on your device.
None. We do not collect your photos, colors, recipes, tube inventory, project names or any personal details.
Since we hold no information, we do not use, analyze, profile or sell anything. Your mixes are used only to show you your own recipes.
Your projects, palettes, tube lists and pigment notes live only on your device. There is no cloud sync and no server holding a copy.
The app includes no analytics, no advertising networks and no trackers. Nobody outside your device sees what you paint.
Because everything runs locally, your data never travels across a network. It is protected by your device's own security.
We collect nothing from anyone, including children under 13, so the app is friendly to the principles of COPPA.
There are no accounts to create or close. To remove all your app data, simply delete the app from your device.
If we ever update this policy, the new version will appear here with a fresh effective date. Our core promise of collecting nothing stays the same.
